Your inputs

MEASURE FIRST

How to prepare your inputs

Use contractor-confirmed loose material volume, density, usable capacity and legal waste payload.

How this calculation works

Mass = loose volume × loose density. Minimum loads = max(ceil(volume ÷ usable load volume), ceil(mass ÷ waste payload)).

Worked example

8 m³ at 300 kg/m³ is 2,400 kg; 6 m³ and 1,500 kg per load require at least two loads.

Assumptions & exclusions

Non-hazardous homogeneous loose waste only. Contractor must verify density, usable fill and legal payload. Excludes asbestos, contaminated soil, prohibited materials and segregation; no demolition method advice.

Your next step

Have the contractor assess hazardous materials, segregation, disposal acceptance and demolition requirements.

These resources provide background information. Confirm current product specifications and project requirements with your supplier or trade professional.

What if my shape or product is different?

Use dimensions and product data that match the stated method. For complex work, calculate separate sections or obtain a project-specific take-off. Do not apply simple geometry to structural or compliance decisions.

Why are quantities rounded up?

Whole bags, packs, sheets or cartridges round up to purchasable units. Decimal area or volume results are planning figures; confirm order increments with the supplier.

Are my entries saved?

No. Entries remain in the current browser page and clear on reload. Printing can save your results and inputs as a PDF on your device.
